When I was a child, my mom rushed my brother and me (quite often) to the mall, or wherever, to have our silhouettes cut out of paper. For a 4 year-old, this was never a fun experience. Sit still, give me a break. Besides silhouettes of mine and my brother's heads, the only papercuts I have seen were Victorian ladies holding parasols. When I came across Tina Tarnoff's beautiful, unique papercuts, I was flabbergasted. I didn't even know that people were making cool papercuts such as these. Her papercuts are modern, fun, and sometimes even colorful. I never thought that I would want a papercut on my wall, but I have now changed my mind! Tarnoff's working is astounding.
She mounts her art on sturdy mounting board that is ready to take center stage on your wall in a frame. Amazingly, Tarnoff also offers a framing service. So...if you want your artwork to come complete with frame, Tarnoff will make this happen!
I can't show you all of Tarnoff's wonderful works, but I can show you a few. I hope that you look at her site to see all of her great papercuts!
